  Being 1,600 miles away from family on a holiday could be somewhat depressing if I did not have work to distract me a bit. Thankfully, I am getting paid a good amount of scratch today (and tomorrow) to sit here and type this blog post. News is always slow on Thanksgiving, minus the mayhem in Mumbai of course. Local news though, bit of a snore. First, a quick reflection on the day. You know how this works, a laundry list of "I am thankful" stuff. I'm not going to do any of that. Just a succint and all-encompassing "Thanks" for everything ...

  This is funny and all, and Kevin Smith has always been a little big, but he's huge these days. The funny thing, often Smith-featured actor Ethan Suplee lost a lot of weight.

  Nooooooooo! WoW | (0)

  So I bought Wrath of the Lich King today (the new WoW expansion), but I had to go to work. As the time seems to flow backward, I've been reading updates of the release. Then I check and see this: Nooooooooo! Chances are that when I finally get home and finish with the install I still won't be able to play. Good thing the weekend is coming up.   “It’s snowy weather…” pictures, random | (0)

  Besides experiencing my first ever snowfall last night and today (yes, it's true), I also experienced one of the most horrible noises ever created by man this morning. Being woken up at 6 a.m. by the sound of a metal snow shovel being scraped across jagged concrete is not exactly a nature alarm clock. In fact it's the opposite. There's a school right across the street from me and the caretaker was doing exactly that, no doubt clearing the ice and snow away so the kiddies didn't bust their asses. I swear the guy was just dragging it back and forth ...
