  Watched way too many movies and downloaded TV shows. You'd think at this point I'd have a fat ass or something. Nope, still the same. Before the Devil Knows You're Dead - Not bad, not great. Philip Seymour Hoffman steals it of course. Doomsday - Worst movie I've seen all year. Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Hilarious, and Mila Kunis is hotter than ever. Sweeney Todd - Bloodier than I expected, and I expected it to be bloody. Yikes. Smart People - Cute, funny, though I just don't buy Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker together.   So I'll admit it, an ex-girlfriend got me started but I have been a series-long Sex and the City fan. I've seen every episode, pondered every relationship and pined over each female character at one time or another. Sure, the show is cheesy, has some lame writing, the women are materialistic and label whores, the show paints women negatively while at the same time trying to make them feel powerful and most of it is rather cookie cutter. BUT, for some reason I still enjoy it. However, I am officially considering the movie non-canon. It does not exist in my mind. ...

  OK, I'm no fan of Bush, obviously, but it seems to me by looking at this trailer that Stone is taking huge liberties with the truth. While the movie will no doubt be enjoyable, I think it will cast not only a very negative light on Stone, but on liberals and even Democrats. Not what anyone, especially undecided voters, needs in their mind right now. Hmm, I'll be curious to see how the press treats this movie. Wonder if Bush will ever see it?

  ‘Dark Knight’ completely lives up to the hype movies | (0)

  So I saw the "Dark Knight' last night at a small midnight premiere in North Carolina (my current stop on my way up north). Yes, it completely lives up to the hype. Yes, Heath Ledger sort of steals the show and does what everyone expected him to do. His performance reinforces how much of an awful thing it was for him to die.
