  My car was broken into last night. Oh, I feel so violated! Actually I don't. It's kind of funny really. They tried really hard to get into my car, which they did. Much to their dismay there was nothing in it to steal except for the $0.75 sitting in the center console.   Today I went to the faux-cool mecha that is IKEA and bought all of this: I call IKEA that because that is what it is. Sure, the stuff looks cool and all, but really it says to people that, "Hey, I wanted some really cool, original looking stuff but was too lazy to go out and find some original, actually unique cool stuff, so I opted for the generic cool stuff.   So I didn't think being part of a Diversity/Inclusion Council would be all that enjoyable. So far it's been great. It's almost like therapy. The people are very interesting and it seems like a breeding ground for some great ideas. As B.S. as I think "diversity/sensitivity training" can be at times, I think this effort has some merits at my company.   Today I had my first day at work that I really felt like I was screwing things up. I lost files, pages, did some unnecessary work and mismanaged a few other things.   So I found a permanent place to live, hopefully. The owner/landlord still has to do the standard checks and balances, but given that, I should be able to sign the lease tomorrow and move in this weekend.
